Before you begin
Open the completed work and compare the recorded result with the original request before making your decision.
Step by step
- Open Approvals or a work order waiting for review.
- Read the work performed, procedure answers and relevant notes. Check the result against what was requested.
- Choose the review action available to you. Approve a satisfactory result, or return it with a clear reason if more work is needed.
- Confirm the decision and check the new status. The work keeps a record of the decision and earlier activity.
What happens next
The person responsible can see your decision and reason in the work’s history. A clear return reason makes the next step easier to understand.
Need a hand?
You may need to be a different person from the one who did the work. Approval options depend on the work and your organization’s setup. A rejected result needs a useful explanation so the person doing the work knows what to change.
