Before you begin
Open the work order you worked on. Record the time actually spent, with a note that helps a reviewer understand it. You need the appropriate access to record or review time; use the controls offered on that work order.
Step by step
- Open the work order and choose Record time from the available actions.
- Check the Worker if you are allowed to record time for someone else.
- Enter Started and Finished with the actual dates and times.
- Add a useful Note, then save the entry. Wait for the result before trying again.
- Use Time to find your entries. If a reviewer returns an entry, read the reason and follow the correction options offered to you.
What happens next
Your entry appears with its current review state. A recorded entry may still need approval before it contributes to accepted labour totals. If you review time, check the worker, interval and note before choosing Approve or Return; explain a returned entry clearly.
Need a hand?
Do not submit the same interval twice while waiting for a save. If time crosses midnight, check the dates as well as the clock times. Ask your supervisor about overlap messages or missing controls. Read a report to understand how accepted labour appears in totals.
